This year the leading annual meeting for the global wholesale telecom industry, International Telecoms Week (ITW), was held in Atlanta, the modern metropolis of Georgia, USA and housed 7000 delegates representing more than 2000 companies from over 135 countries. Claiming to be the ideal platform to position one’s business in front of a global audience, ITW 2019 offered a great variety of meeting spaces to suit every company’s needs and paved the way for telecommunication professionals to meet the eager attendees, interact and network.
The DIDWW team was delighted to attend such an important event for all enthusiasts of the industry, marking the company’s tenth consecutive participation in the ITW exhibition. According to Karolis Jurys, Commercial Director at DIDWW, his expectations regarding the new venue of ITW (previously it was held in Chicago and before that in Washington D.C.) were greatly exceeded.
He said, “We were pleasantly surprised by the sheer volume and high quality of ITW 2019 in Atlanta. As long-time participants, we can clearly see how this exhibition is growing and improving. We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity to be able to meet our loyal clients, generate potential leads and discuss collaboration with the industry’s recognized brands.”
Karolis Jurys also pointed out that the trends in telecommunication sector indicate an expanding VOIP industry, and new and unconventional services, such as the two-way SMS service, are contributing the most. VOIP building blocks for unified communications products are being sold more often compared to the ordinary wholesale VOIP voice traffic.
Moreover, this year’s ITW exhibition was the first for DIDWW subsidiary telecom.center™ that offers the ultimate cloud PBX platform phone.systems™ and an innovative SIP-based softphone call.center™. ITW 2019 served as an excellent starting point to introduce the first two blocks hosted by telecom.center™ and demonstrate these unique and easy-to-use cloud products.
