As confirmed by the IFT (Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaiones) that regulates numbering and signalling processes in Mexico, dialing to mobile and Toll-free numbers in Mexico will be simplified. The changes are as follows:
Toll-free – Current dialling 01800XXXXXXX changing to New dialling pattern 800XXXXXXX
Mobile numbers if dialed internationally – Current pattern 52-1-XXXXX-XXXXX, New dialing – 52-XXXXX-XXXXX
The changes will come into effect as of the 3rd of August, 2019. There will be a 30 day permissive dialing period when calls will connect either way. Starting the 3rd of September, 2019, the new dialing pattern will become mandatory.
Please note, if you have any services in Mexico with DIDWW, you do not need to make any changes.
